We needed a special spread to go with our amazing Romano & Black Pepper Flatbreads, since we only make them once in a while. Bruschetta sounded perfect, so we added a bit of a twist and came up with this recipe for Creamy Bruschetta Spread.
Mix all ingredients together except Panko and 1/4 cup of the basil. Refrigerate cheese mixture for 2 hours. When a bit firm, roll mixture into balls. Mix Panko and remaining basil and put in a bowl. Roll cheese balls in Panko until covered.
That's it!! Serve with fresh tomatoes, maybe some salami, and of course Roots & Branches Romano & Black Pepper Flatbreads!
See, it doesn't always have to be about cheese!! Especially when we're pairing something with our amazing Sweetflats. We are very fortunate to have Ultimate Ice Cream as one of our neighbors and we're huge fans of their craft churned ice cream always made with the highest quality, local cream. So when we discovered their March 2017 special was orange ice cream with chocolate chips...we knew we had found the ultimate pairing. :)

In honor of National Chili Day, we're sharing our favorite recipe for a delicious and simple, 3 Bean Chili. This recipe yields many servings and can be frozen, which is perfect for nights when you're too busy to cook. And of course we think it tastes best when served with Roots & Branches crackers. :)
In a large pot, saute onions and green peppers in olive oil until soft. Add water and bouillon cubes, stir until cubes dissolve. Add corn and all seasonings, let simmer for 20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, stir well and heat on low with lid on pot, stirring occasionally. Ready to serve when thoroughly heated.
We've found a perfect game day treat to go with our Olive Oil crackers, combining two distinctive tastes...Stout and Cheddar! For this recipe we used our favorite Black Mocha Stout from Highland Brewing Co., of Asheville.
This recipe is very simple and can be adjusted to fit your particular taste, and only requires a blender or food processor.
Garlic Salt, Paprika, Black Pepper
In a blender, combine Cheddar and Cream Cheese until smooth. Add Stout, Worcestershire, dry mustard and Caraway seeds. Blend well then taste. Add more of whatever you want. We added extra cheddar and Stout!
Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. Our Olive Oil Crackers make an excellent pairing for this spread. Their mild flavor allows the cheddar and stout to shine.
We found the perfect pairing for our Parmesan Flatbreads...Tomato Soup!! If you love Tomato Soup you'll appreciate this simple recipe, courtesy of The Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond. This soup is so creamy, so flavorful, so...tomatoey!!
