Being vegetarians, legumes are a main staple of our diet, so bean dishes are something we always experiment with. Through many trials we've come up with a great recipe we think everyone will enjoy and it's beyond simple to make!
Directions: Add contents of bag to 4 cups of boiling water. Lower heat and let simmer for at least a half hour or until beans soften, stirring occasionally.
**Dried legumes absorb a lot of water, so it may be necessary to add more.**
Variations: Add a bouillon cube for extra flavor. Spice it up by mixing in some jalapenos. Add some cooked ground beef, turkey, or tofu. Add more beans to turn it into a very tasty chili. Sprinkle a little cheddar on top.
INGREDIENTS: Black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, tomato powder, bell peppers, corn, onions, cumin, chili powder, garlic, cilantro, sea salt, pepper
