Being vegetarians, beans are a main staple of our diet, so chili is a dish we always experiment with. Through many trials we've come up with a great recipe we think everyone will enjoy and it's beyond simple to make!
Directions: Add contents of bag to boiling water (8 cups for 11oz--4 cups for 5.5oz). Lower heat and let simmer for at least a half hour or until beans soften, stirring occasionally.
**Dried legumes absorb a lot of water, so it may be necessary to add more.**
Variations: Add a bouillon cube for extra flavor. Spice it up by mixing in some jalapenos. Add some cooked ground beef, turkey, tofu or even add more beans to make it a more hearty meal. Sprinkle a little cheddar on top.
